Dr. Scholler has practiced clinical psychology since 1985 and specializes in talk therapy for most emotional conditions.

Dr. Scholler completed doctoral studies in psychology with the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research in October 1980, and subsequently completed a post-doctoral fellowship in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis at the Post Graduate Center for Mental Health in June 1984.  He is a Clinical Psychologist in New York State with academic and clinical training in cognitive behavioral therapies including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).  He has maintained a full time private practice since 1990 and has also conducted forensic family evaluations for the matrimonial parts of NY State Supreme Court since 2004.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Scholler has treated a wide spectrum of emotional difficulties, most often anxiety and depression.  He also has extensive experience treating Major Depressive Disorders, Bipolar Disorder and the anxiety spectrum disorders and has many years of experience working with addictions and drawing on the traditions of 12-step relapse prevention programs.  He collaborates regularly with prescribing psychiatrists, couples counselors and primary care physicians.
